The PURE Sports Nutrition range is designed with sports science in mind and proudly produced in Christchurch, New Zealand.

Using premium real ingredients, no artificial colours or flavours, and products that really deliver performance, the range has grown to provide high-quality products for before, during and after your workouts or sporting adventures.

PURE stands for high quality, natural products that work, containing no artificial ingredients or colours.

HOW IT STARTED

Brother and sister duo Simon Kraak and Marewa Sutherland started PURE Sports Nutrition in 2012 after becoming tired of struggling with sickly and sweet sports nutrition products. Marewa, a qualified Sports and Exercise Nutritionist (BAppSc, Otago University), former New Zealand representative rower and elite road cyclist, plus Simon, a keen road cyclist and mountain biker, took matters into their own hands.

After a year of researching, PURE Sports Nutrition was born. The focus: premium real ingredients, no artificial colours or flavours, and products that really deliver performance. To this day, Simon and Marewa still develop every new item they launch. This includes researching sports science, formulating recipes and, most importantly, training and racing on every product before they bring them to market.

“Our starting point with PURE Sports Nutrition was to say, what if we put the cost of ingredients aside and instead focused on how to make effective products using only the best ingredients? That 'what if' moment defined our whole business philosophy. Most sports nutrition products are way too sweet, hard to consume and are full of fake ingredients. We wanted something natural and clean when we exercise so we developed our PURE Sports Nutrition range,” they said.  

THEIR APPROACH

PURE Sports Nutrition are passionate about what they do, and it’s important to them that they only produce premium, innovative, and healthy products. With many of the team members being athletes themselves, they truly care about what goes into everyone’s bodies during exercise. That’s why every ingredient they use is carefully selected for quality and sports science performance. The team trials each of their products in the field.
