It’s not often you get to ride and review a world-class elite tyre model from the world’s leading tyre brand - we are honoured to have been given this opportunity to ride and test this brand-new tread here on the trails of New Zealand and the feedback couldn’t be more positive… Here's some feedback from riders, who've been hitting the tracks on our home turf.

Unpacking the tyre, the first thing I noticed was the much bigger, squarer-looking knobs. It didn't have an obvious look as to whether it was designed as a front or rear tyre either — some tyres just have that look about them. So I was interested to see how it would perform on the rear.

I originally had a Double High Roller setup and swapped the rear tyre out for the DHX. I would usually go for a 2.4" rear tyre (just always have), but I tested the 2.5" and was surprised by how good the wider tyre felt on the back.

My first impression was that the rolling speed felt really good. It carried speed well, and I found I could push harder into flatter, faster corners and really load the tyre up without feeling like I was going to lose the edge. The transition from the centre knobs onto the shoulder felt really smooth and predictable.

The DH casing also felt super supportive. I could push hard in corners and technical sections without the tyre feeling like it was squirming or moving around underneath me.

I was running 23 psi front and 26 psi rear, paired with a High Roller on the front, in prime Rotorua dirt at Skyline.
