HOW DID YOU GET STARTED OUT RIDING?

I was a late starter, after years of competitive surfing I rode a friends bike and was hooked from the first ride. Soon after, I purchashed a DH bike and would do shuttles as often as possible. 15 years on I still ride with the same crew!

Giant Glory Comp that weighed a tonne.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE PART ABOUT BIKING?

Not much beats the feeling of a good ride with friends! I love that my partner rides too so we get out as much as possible. I can’t really imagine a life without bikes. 

YOUR BIGGEST CYCLING ACHIEVEMENT(S) SO FAR?

I am far too competitive to race so I like to keep it social when it comes to my riding. Probably my most significant cycling-related achievement would be winning the Crankworx Deep Summer Photograhy competition 2022.

FAVOURITE TRAILS/TRACKS/RIDES?

Locally we’re spoilt with the redwoods, I love HatuPatu & Tuhoto Ariki up in the natives and anything loamy that's freshly built. Alice Lake in Squamish is an all-time favourite and Pemberton although very pedally is all time!

FAVOURITE MARLEEN PRODUCTS?

Evoc everything, Maxxis tyres, Park Tools and the Kids Ride Shotgun seat.
